Tourism Greater Shepparton offers a membership structure that reflects the diverse range of members.
The Board of Tourism Greater Shepparton is committed to advocating for the growth and development of a sustainable visitor industry and representing the interests and needs of our members. As an independent not for profit industry association, membership fees enable Tourism Greater Shepparton to advocate on our member's behalf to our key stakeholders and industry partners for a well-designed, suitably resourced and coordinated strategy and transparent action plan that recognises the roles of both industry and government.
TGS is focused on raising the profile and importance of the sector to our local economy to attract our share of regional visitation and investment in line with other regional destinations.
TGS will continue to actively work with the Greater Shepparton City Council to expedite our access to the Murray Regional Tourism Board and the development of a dedicated Tourism Action Plan to support COVID 19 recovery for the Greater Shepparton region.
Changes to TGS Membership Due To COVID
The TGS Board understand that the challenges our industry has faced this year due to the COVID pandemic have been greater than ever before. The board wants the visitor economy community to stay connected and to ensure we band together as an industry as we navigate the challenges and recovery of our sector.
To support visitor economy businesses into recovery after COVID, TGS will waive 50% of the annual membership fee and defer the balance payable to 1 January 2021.
Businesses wishing to join will be required to complete a membership application form and will still receive a membership invoice. The 50% balance payable however will not be due until 1 January 2021. A payment reminder will be sent in December.
Membership is valid until June 30, 2021. Members will be able to take advantage of the following benefits:
Advocacy on behalf of your business and the local visitor economy
Brochure display at the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre.
Advertising discounts when available.
Promote your business to the more than 800 followers of the TGS Facebook page.
Discounted attendance fees to networking and guest speaker functions and workshops.
Dozens of opportunities to tap into the tourism dollars spent annually by hundreds of thousands of visitors to Greater Shepparton.
