Tatura Museum is run by the volunteers of Tatura and District Historical Society Inc. The museum houses many artifacts, books, documents, photos and memorabilia related to the local Tatura District.
On display we have, not only local and irrigation history but also an extensive collection from the WWII internment and POW camps which were in the local area from 1940 to 1946. This collection includes items made in the camps, books, clothing, documents, photos and official war records.
We have a large reference collection and all the records relating to the German War Cemetery at Tatura which are available for research.
Opening hours are:
1pm – 3pm weekdays and 2pm – 4pm weekends and public holidays
Entry fees are $5.00 for adults and $4.00 concessions.
